Abstract

The machine frame is a vital element in the coconut belt unraveling machine, serving as the main support that ensures structural stability and durability during operation. This research analyzes the strength of the machine frame using the finite element analysis (FEA) method in SolidWorks 2020 software, focusing on stresses, deformations, and factors of safety against working loads.  The material used is ASTM A36 steel with a yield strength of 250 MPa. The frame model was created in SolidWorks 2020 and tested under various loading scenarios to identify critical points and stress distribution. The simulation results show that the maximum stress remains within safe limits according to the yield strength, so the frame has an adequate safety factor for machine operation. This research serves as a reference in the development of a more optimized coconut belt unraveling machine frame design. Improvement recommendations are provided based on the simulation results to improve durability and structural efficiency and minimize the risk of failure during use.
